Padi farmer's tractor

what big wheels!
suspension for the seat?
close-up of the suspension
This tractor belongs to the padi farmer in Sekinchan. He uses it to till the earth before planting the padi, and also as a harvesting machine when the padi is ready for harvest. This machine saves him a lot of time and reduces his need to employ human labour. Therefore, he is able to work on his own. The only downside to this is the cost of the tractor, which is a huge investment.

On a hot, sunny day, made a trip down to Sekinchan where rice is grown. There, we met the owner of the padi fields and his family. He has eight children, and here are a few of them. The boy in the yellow T-shirt is his youngest child.

Putrajaya - the new federal territory - is the epitome city of Malaysia. Its main feature is the exquisite and unusual architecture that is definitely a feast for the eyes. No wonder then that this city attracts a constant stream of tourists. One of its most well-known landmarks lies in the heart of this city, where the Prime Minister's Office and Putrajaya Mosque is located.

There was a group of schoolchildren giving a live orchestral performance at the Outdoor Theme Park. They look really smart in their matching uniforms and polished musical instruments.

As it began to drizzle outdoors, it was time to pack our gear and take shelter. The moody weather didn't seem to dampen the "funfair" spirit as the action continued indoors.

Went on a day trip to Genting Highlands a few days ago just to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was a good break, and it's like being in a different world, surrounded by a "funfair" atmosphere. Somehow, being there made me feel like a kid again...

Decided to try shooting local food for a change. Here are a few famous dishes which I'm sure some of you are familiar with. Most Malaysian food are spicy, cooked with curry or served with "belachan" chili paste.

Darjeeling, Peppermint, Orange Pekoe, Chamomile, Boh, etc. Once in a while, it's nice to sit back, relax and have a refreshing cup of tea. What about croissants? They usually come plain but there are some that are rolled with a sausage in it. And they taste great with a glass of fresh milk.

Chinese New Year is approaching so thought this might be an appropriate subject to shoot. This Chinese gold ingot is the typical symbl of wealth which you can find as decorations, a gift in hampers or to welcome prosperity in business centres.
