Located within the Cultural Handicraft Complex, the State Museum is built entirely of wood with fine carvings and is a fine example of the typical Minangkabau architecture. It displays a rich collection of various historical artifacts including ancient tools, weapons, brass objects, silverware, as well as traditional costumes and jewellery.
